Anti-Aging products and Black Women

I was at the Avon Store one day and this lady says,
"We don't need that kind of stuff"
refering to anti-aging creams.

I told her,
"That was a lie and the truth wasn't in it"

Just because we don't crease and wrinkle
to the extent that white people do,
doesn't mean we don't show signs of aging.

We as a people are so uneducated when it comes to the benefits of anti-aging products.
As we get older
we do lose collagen in our skin
and we do lose elasticity in our skin (the skin does sag).

I've taken a long hard look at our beautiful mature women and have said to myself,
"What makes them look older?"

My Auntie Loley was 72yrs old and didn't have a wrinkle on her,
but she didn't look 20.

What I realized was, that the texture of our
skin changes too.

I've used Elizabeth Arden's
Prevage
and Ceramide Gold Capsules
for about a year in
a half now, and it's done wonders for my skin. The most noticeable improvement it's done for me was it improved the texture of my skin.

Don't focus on the anti-wrinkle part.....

focus on
maintaining collagen levels
to prevent sagging,
and products that
improve and maintain
skin tone and texture

I didn't have bad skin to start with, but I do have large pores and had some discoloration, and since Prevage is a corrective cream, I believe it may have corrected any sun damage I may have.

Living in the Atlanta Metro Area
being exposed to Code Red Smog
and the intensity of the sun...
It's also important for us to use
sunscreen and antioxidants

to protect our skin.

But i'm going to save that subject for next time...
Thanks for reading this post...
